Used Abel Super 5N "Classic Brown" Fly Reel
The Abel Super series is one of the most iconic fly reels ever produced in the United States, prized for its durability, simple engineering, and unmistakable sound on the water. This Super 5N model features a striking brown trout finish, with rich gold anodizing and detailed spotting inspired by the flank of a wild trout.
Machined from bar-stock aluminum in Camarillo, California, the Super series is known for its rugged click-and-pawl drag system, dependable performance, and timeless design. The 5N size is a versatile trout reel, well suited for 5–6 weight rods and perfectly at home on everything from modern graphite to classic fiberglass or bamboo.
This reel includes the original Abel box and a modern Abel reel pouch.
Condition: Very good overall. The reel shows a few small cosmetic dings consistent with light use, but remains clean and mechanically excellent.
