Private Fly Fishing Lessons

We at Western Rivers Flyfisher pride ourselves on providing first-class educational courses for anyone wanting to learn about this great activity. That is why we wanted to make sure that you have an option to take any course we offer on a timetable that works best for you. From basic fly-fishing knowledge and tactics to more advanced casting and fishing techniques, we can cover just about anything that you want to get better at and do it according to your schedule! To book a class, please call or e-mail the shop for more details.

Itinerary:

The first session of the class will take place at a time to be determined. We will meet at the shop, or a local park if the weather permits, to talk about knots, the basic entomology knowledge needed to be able to effectively identify what aquatic insects are hatching, how weather impacts the hatch and your fly choice, and discuss what essential gear is required. Then, we'll work on tuning up students fly-casting.

The second session of the class takes place from 7:30 AM – 12 PM, and the location is a local river (Middle or Lower Provo) where you learn how to fish under the watchful eye of a friendly and competent instructor.
