There is a reason we have been booking customers with El Pescador for decades! While this fishery is wildly diverse and caters to anglers of all ability levels; the incredible staff, beautiful setting, and excellent menu are the backbone of this operation. Add that to the abundance of Bonefish and large Permit as well as the year-round population of Tarpon pushing 100lbs, you will be hard pressed to find a more well rounded destination.
Ambergris Cay is home to a true Grand Slam fishery and the islands extensive flats and reef system are home to year-round populations of Tarpon, Permit and Bonefish as well as Snook, Jacks, Barracuda and other flats species. Bonefish are plentiful and range from 2-5lbs. and Permit are often found in large schools and range from 4-30 lbs. The fishery is also home to resident Tarpon as large as 80-100 lbs. and sees even larger migratory fish through the summer months. The large schools of Bonefish make this a great destination for beginning saltwater anglers though the opportunity to chase large Permit & Tarpon can provide a challenge for anglers of every experience level. Guides are experienced in the local waters and fish from traditional Mexican style Pangas.
Between the comfortable accommodations and the short golf-cart drive bike ride from downtown San Pedro, El Pescador also has one of the best offerings of non-angling activities. Relax poolside, explore town or take advantage of the world class snorkeling and scuba diving that Belize has to offer.
